Our First Birthday sessions are designed to help you pause, celebrate, and remember this season.
Our First Birthday sessions are playful, relaxed, and guided with just enough structure to keep things smooth and just enough flexibility to let your child be themselves.
We follow your baby’s lead, allow time for breaks, and keep the experience fun and pressure-free — so genuine expressions and joyful moments naturally unfold.

Our Cake Smashes are super fun and leave your home mess-free. Skip a step by having your cake delivered to the studio! Our exclusive cakes are from a local baker... we love supporting local! Check out the cake menu to easily order online. Before your session, discuss your visions and expectations with your photographer. Choose from a wide array of birthday props and accessories or personalize your Cake Smash design/theme with our Creative Director.
Not into cake? No problem.
Cake isn’t required! If you have another fun idea in mind, Nina, our lead photographer, loves turning your creative visions into reality.

First Birthday sessions are typically photographed around 11–12 months, so images are ready in time for birthday celebrations.

Sessions last about 40 minutes, with flexibility for breaks, snacks, and warm-up time. We follow your child’s lead and keep things relaxed.

Yes — cake smash can be added as an option. Cake is not required, and many families choose a milestone-focused session or a fun alternative instead.

No problem at all. If you have another fun idea — bubbles, balloons, books, toys, or something uniquely your child — we’re happy to incorporate creative alternatives that feel joyful and meaningful.

We recommend simple, neutral outfits without logos or busy patterns. We’re happy to guide styling so everything feels cohesive and timeless.

Yes — family and sibling images can absolutely be included if you’d like.

Each child is assigned their own gallery using facial recognition to keep things organized and efficient. This also helps keep pricing fair to families with just one child, since all orders and discounts apply individually.
Because of this system, digital discounts apply within each child’s gallery and can’t be combined across siblings.

The session fee covers the time, experience, and guided session. Images and products are purchased separately after you view your proof gallery.
A few things to note:
Parents + siblings are welcome to join First Birthday Sessions. We will photograph family + siblings first and then focus the rest of the session on your birthday baby!
If you want images for your baby’s 1st Birthday, we recommend scheduling at least 2 weeks before the actual birthday.
Families are welcome to bring balloons, props and accessories. Your photographer will help style your session.
After your session, enjoy a virtual ordering meeting or simply order directly online to purchase your favorite photos from your proof gallery. Digitals, prints and products are not included in the session fee.
Cakes must be ordered 10 days in advance to avoid a rush fee from our baker. Order online HERE.
